STRUTHERS, OH- Seven runs in the second inning led the South Range Raiders past Mogadore 11-1 on Thursday. The Raiders offense in the inning was led by Brandon Youngs, Ben Rivera, Jake Gehring, Josh Stear, Michael Cunningham, and Kris Scandy, all driving in runs in the inning.
Mogadore fired up the offense in the first inning. Mogadore scored one run when Mitchell Markusic doubled.
Sam Brooks was the winning pitcher for the Raiders. He surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out seven and walking one in a brilliant start. Ty Johnston tried to hold the Raiders at bay, as he surrendered two runs on one hit over one inning, striking out one and walking zero. Jake Weigand started the game for Mogadore. He surrendered seven runs on three hits over one and one-third innings
Markusic went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Mogadore in hits.
