MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The South Range Raiders took Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over Pleasure Ridge Park. The game was tied at four with South Range batting in the bottom of the ninth when Hope Thomas singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring the winning run. Pleasure Ridge Park scored four runs in the first inning, but South Range still managed to pull out the victory. Pleasure Ridge Park got on the board in the first inning. A sacrifice bunt scored one run for Pleasure Ridge Park. In the bottom of the fifth inning, South Range Raiders Varsity tied things up at four when an error scored a run for the Lady Raiders.
Bree Kohler was the winning pitcher for South Range . She lasted nine innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out 11 and walking just one. South Range tallied 11 hits. Julie Centofanti, Kohler, Maddie Helon, Marlaina Slabach, and Thomas all managed multiple hits. Thomas, Slabach, Helon, Kohler, and Centofanti each collected two hits to lead the team.
