HOWLAND BEGINS TO FEEL THE RHYTHM

HOWLAND, OHIO- Howland had everything working on Friday, winning big over Columbiana 10-3. Howland had eight hits in the game and were led by Kenney and Nicholas Lewis, who each managed two hits to lead Howland. Columbiana got things moving in the first inning, when Daugherty grounded out, scoring one run.

Howland answered by putting up five runs in the third inning. Gavin Caldwell, Jak Kenney, Luca Fronzaglio, and Nick Leasure all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Fronzaglio earned the win for Howland as he surrendered three runs on three hits over five innings, striking out three. Robert Gumino threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Sam Inboden toed the rubber for Columbiana. The hurler went three innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out two before being relieved by Ian Less, who threw three innings in relief. Columbiana will be back in action on Saturday when they Beaver at 2:00pm. Howland will play Crestview on Saturday at 12:00pm.
