HOWLAND CREATES A GREAT FINISH TO THEIR DAY

HOWLAND, OHIO- Brooke Tatar didn’t allow a single run against the West Branch Warriors, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Howland Tigers to a 4-0 victory on Saturday.

The Tigers fired up the offense in the first inning, when Kayla Campbell homered on a 3-0 count, scoring two runs. The Tigers hit two home runs on the day. Alyssa Massucci had a dinger in the fifth inning. Campbell had a homer in the first inning.

Tatar went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Howland Tigers in hits and led things off on the rubber allowing two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Klary McKay started the game for the Warriors. McKay lasted six innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one.

Howland will travel to Boardman on Monday to take on the Spartans. West Branch will travel to Carrollton.
