PITTSBURGH, PA- Howland took a road trip to take on the Shaler Area Titans in a non-conference matchup that quickly got out of hand as Howland fell 13-4. After leading 3-2 in the first inning, Shaler piled on seven runs in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead for good.

Despite being down big in the game, Howland still managed to put up ten hits and had several players with two or more hits including Zoe King, Brooke Tatar, Kayla Campbell, and Alyssa Massucci. Alexia Spangler started things in the circle for Howland as she allowed 5 hits, 9 runs, and 1 strikeout before being relieved by Tatar, who went four innings in the circle allowing 5 hits, 4 runs, and had 4 strikeouts.

Howland will return home to take on Pymatuning Valley on Wednesday at 5:00pm.
