HUBBARD COLLECTS ANOTHER CLOSE VICTORY

HUBBARD OH-  Hubbard earned another close win on the season against Struthers by a final of 4-3

Struthers opened up scoring in the first inning. They scored two runs when Olindo Pezzone homered.

Hubbard pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Johnny Reyes singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Ian Wukelich was the winning pitcher for Hubbard. The righthander surrendered three runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Alec Grzyb took the loss for Struthers. Grzyb lasted six innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out 14.

Ryan Murray, Andrew Kali, Ben Wilcox, Reyes, and Gabe Rusnak each collected one hit to lead the Eagles. Hubbard didn’t commit a single error in the field. Reyes had the most chances in the field with seven.

Struthers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Chance Laczko made the most plays with 15.
