HUBBARD, OHIO – The offense took control early on as they scored three in the bottom of the first. Lauren Komorek had a big inning with an RBI tripled combined with a Jefferson error to add to the scoring. Hubbard scored three runs again in the bottom of the third inning, highlighted by a Jocelyn Doughton single and another Jefferson defensive miscue.

Phoebe Rusnak led Hubbard with two hits in her four plate appearances. Kaylee Schultz stepped to the pitcher’s circle for Hubbard where she pitched the distance allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out six batters through seven innings of work.

Hubbard will play non-conference opponent Frankfort Adena next on Friday with first pitch coming at 5:15 p.m.
