HUBBARD PULLS LEAD LATE; NAILS STRUTHERS AT CENE

STRUTHERS, OH- Hubbard snatched the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Struthers on Monday. the Eagles trailed 4-3 in the top of the sixth inning when Johnny Reyes singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Struthers got on the board in the first inning. Drew Day singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Mike Zapka got the start for Hubbard. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out five.

Olindo Pezzone was on the hill for Struthers. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out eight. Chance Laczko threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ben Wilcox went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Hubbard in hits.

Day led Struthers with two hits in three at-bats.
