HUBBARD WINS SEASON SERIES WITH DRAGONS

NILES, Ohio –

Less than 24 hours removed from a Hubbard thumping, the Niles Lady Red Dragons played host for round two against the Lady Eagles.Unfortunately for Niles, the new day did not mean new results. The Lady Eagles kept rolling as they have all season long, being relentless at the plate, and rarely giving up an inch defensively.

Just as they did yesterday, the Lady Eagles batted around the order in the first inning, plating 8 runs in the process. Hubbard would record 2 extra base hits in the top half of the inning, a triple from Grace Ryser and a double off the bat of Sydney Bowser.

Phoebe Rusnak would take the mound for the Lady Eagles, looking to build from Grace Narkum’s success the previous day when she struck out 12 and only allowed 1 hit. In Rusnak’s first inning of work, she would record 2 strikeouts and only allow one hit.

Back at the dish, Hubbard had no intentions on slowing down. The Lady Eagles started hot in the top half of the 2nd, doubling their run total to 16 before Niles could even record an out, and plated 3 more before it was all said and done.

Already trailing by 19, the Dragons said no mas, ending the game in the 2nd inning and giving Hubbard their 4th straight win, 19-0.
