INDIANS GLAD TO BE BACK AT HOME

SALINEVILLE OH- The Southern Local Indians returned home Monday night looking to get back on the winning track after suffering their first setback their last time out. East Palestine came to Salineville in search of a statement win in the EOAC. The Indians made sure they would be the ones to remain in the EOAC title conversation as they defeated the Bulldogs 39-33 Monday night.

Defense was the theme in the first half as each was limited offensively with the Indians clinging to a 19-16 halftime lead. The second half was much of the same as Southern using their depth and pressure defense eventually wore down the Bulldogs on their way to victory. Kennedy Lewis, who dictated much of the pressure defense all night for the Indians, contributed 6 pointts & 5 rebounds.

The Bulldogs were led by Mia Lee with 11 points and Leila Martin tallying 6 points. East Palestine (3-3, 2-2) returns home on Thursday taking on Wellsville. Southern, (5-1, 3-1) looks to keep pace in the EOAC as they travel to Lisbon on Thursday.
