ITS ALL SMILES AFTER ANOTHER GIRARD WIN

GIRARD OH- Emily Rosace shut down Struthers, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Girard to a 10-0 conference victory on Friday.

Girard got things moving in the first inning, when Rosace grounded out, scoring two runs.

The Indians notched five runs in the fourth inning. Their big bats in the inning were led by singles by Abbie Rafferty, Rosace, and Ava Serrano, a walk by Sidnee Rice, and a double by Ali Durkin.

A single by Brooke Adams in the fifth inning was a positive for Struthers.

Rosace was on the rubber for Girard. Rosace lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero.

Morgan Minnol led things off on the rubber for Struthers. The hurler allowed 11 hits and ten runs over four innings.

The Indians totaled 11 hits in the game. Durkin, Aly Wakefield, and Rice each collected multiple hits. Durkin went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the way in hits.

Girard and Struthers will finish up their NE8 series on Monday as they meet up in Struthers. First pitch is set for 5:00.
