STRUTHERS OH- Struthers senior Gino Calabrette has a lot to be proud of going in to his final season as a Wildcat. Gino has helped lead his team for four seasons and now has a chance at a swan song.
Gino is a two way player, he is one of the Wildcats best weapons on offense at the tight end position, and then he leads the defense as an inside linebacker. He shows up on everyone’s scouting report, especially teams that like to run the ball. Calabrette is one of the hardest tacklers in the area, and it is safe to say no one wants to run in to him.
Struthers is gearing up to try and stop maybe the most electric runner in the state this week. The Wildcats have TC Caffey and the Hubbard Eagles coming to town. You will need to watch for number 11 filling the gaps of the defense, and running pristine routes on offense.
Gino was able to catch up with YSN’s Rob Musch this week to talk about how his senior year is going, and what makes strapping up as a Wildcat so special. Join us in highlighting the next Struthers football player profile in “It’s Gino’s World.”
