JAYS SHOW UP BIG IN MINERAL RIDGE

MINERAL RIDGE, OHIO- Mineral Ridge fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-3 loss to Jackson-Milton on Thursday as the Rams struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Blue Jays.

Jackson-Milton got things started when they scored on a error in the first inning, a single by Jaidyn Henry in the first inning, a single by Owen McDevitt in the first inning, a single by Drew Sloan in the second inning, and a groundout by Henry in the second inning.

Billy Sloan pitched Jackson-Milton to victory as the ace allowed five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six.

Trey Rigley took the loss for the Rams as he went two-thirds of an inning, allowing ten runs on eight hits and striking out two.

Gino Novello went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Rams at the plate.

Mineral Ridge will try and split the regular season series when they take on Jackson-Milton on Friday.
