JFK HAS A FUN FRIDAY

By Michael Wolfgang

WARREN, OHIO – A great way to put yourself in a good position to secure a win is jumping on your opponent early and asserting yourself as the superior team.

Three runs in the bottom of the first inning was how JFK did just that in their 8-0 victory over Champion on Friday. The display on offense was powered by a handful of guys throughout the JFK lineup like Dominic Ryan, Hettrick-Carfangia, Santino Ciambotti, and Jaden Rishel, who each had RBIs in their big four run fourth inning.

Rishel pitched a gem of a game for JFK and came out as the winning pitcher. Rishel’s outing lasted six innings as he allowed just one hit and zero runs and sitting down five Champion batters through strikeouts. To finish with the eight runs,

JFK floated in 13 hits five five players going for multi-hit performances, showing a good balance throughout their lineup. Each team committed two errors in the field.
