JFK STANDS TALL AGAINST BLUE DEVILS

WARREN OH- The reigning state runner up JFK Eagles continued to look impressive in the young season on Saturday night. After storming out to a big lead, they were able to stand tall during a second half Western Reserve wave. JFK held on to win 44-28.

Chris Campana led the Eagles ground attack running for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns on 15 carries. Caleb Hadley chipped in running for 80 yards and a touchdown. Hadley wasn’t asked to throw a ton, but when he was, he was efficient. He went 7-8 for 123 yards through the air with a touchdown.

Per usual David Altiere did a lot of work on the ground. He ran for 84 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. One of those carries was a 40 yard scamper for a score. He was helped out greatly by Dominic Ricciardi who ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

JFK will look to continue their win streak in Week 3 as they host Garfield. Garfield beat the Eagles last season, so JFK will have revenge on their mind. Western Reserve’s schedule won’t get any easier. They look to bounce back against Brookfield in Week 3.
