JFK’S HISTORIC SEASON CONTINUES

AKRON OH- The fact that it was JFK’s first trip to the state tournament in program history did not phase the Eagles one bit as they paved their way to the State Championship game with a 3-2 win over Fort Laramie.

Can Hollobaugh earned the win for JFK. Hollobaugh went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out seven.

Caeleb Meyer took the loss for Fort Loramie. The bulldog surrendered three runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Gavin Shrum led the Eagles offense with two hits in two at bats.

Fort Loramie didn’t commit a single error in the field. Mack Fortman had the most chances in the field with six.

JFK advances to the Division IV State Championship game against Lincolnview on Sunday. First pitch is slated for 4:00 at Canal Park in Akron.
