KINKADE KEEPS IT COMING

CANFIELD OH- The Canfield Cardinals knew coming in to the 2022 season they would have to revamp their offense. It’s a good thing that they brought back their setter. Riley Kinkade knows what it takes to win at this level of volleyball. With new faces needing to step up in bigger roles, they can rest assured Kinkade will get them in the right spot.

The position of setter can be overlooked at times. Sets aren’t flashy, they don’t end points, and assists don’t show up first in the stat sheet. But in all reality, setters are the reason an offense works. They are your quarterbacks on the court, and Riley is one of the best in town.  Kinkade has sights set on 1,000 career assists this season. As the games go on she gets ever closer. Talking to her fellow seniors, they are all hoping they are the ones that finish her 1000th assist.  Their commitment to get her to that milestone is the biggest example of what kind of leader Riley is, and what she means to the players around her.

Riley was able to join YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about her senior season.  She talks with Anthony Hartwig, and Richie Juliano about what it means to have this last season with her fellow seniors, setting up this offense, and much more.  Don’t miss the latest Canfield Volleyball Player Profile only on YSN.
