KLING IS KING; LIONS MAKE THE MOST AGAINST CRESTVIEW

COLUMBIANA, OH-Even though the Crestview Rebels collected six hits to Heartland Christian’s five, they still fell 4-2 on Friday.  In a huge program victory under the first-year skipper, Mark Franken, the Lions put the area on notice for what could be in the Division IV baseball tournament.

Jake Kling earned the win for Heartland Christian in his first career start. Kling made the most of his chance and allowed six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out eight.

Ethan Feezle took the loss for Crestview Rebels Varsity. Feezle surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Crestview totaled six hits. Jesse McKee and Sam Campbell each racked up multiple hits for Crestview. Campbell and McKee each managed two hits to lead the team.
