KNIGHT BREAKS STOLEN BASE RECORD IN EAGLES WIN

EAST PALESTINE OH- United snatched the lead late in the game in a 10-7 victory over East Palestine on Tuesday. The game was tied at seven with United batting in the top of the seventh when Nevin Hahlen drew a walk, scoring one run.

East Palestine scored four runs in the fifth inning, but United still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for East Palestine came thanks to a walk by Alex Cannon, a single by Dalton Culler, and a double by Kyler Bourne.

East Palestine got on the board in the first inning. Bourne singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Andrew Winn was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two and a third innings, striking out two. Parker Newburn threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Cale Moraski took the loss for East Palestine. The pitcher surrendered nine runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out six.

Hahlen started the game for United. The righty surrendered three runs on two hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four

United racked up ten hits on the day. Winn and Grant Knight each managed multiple hits. Knight and Winn all had two hits to lead. Winn led United with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten steals total. Knight gathered two to break the schools record for steals in a season with 26.

Bourne went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead East Palestine in hits.
