KNIGHTLINE 14U ROLLS OFF WHITING

STRUTHERS, OH – Whiting Roll-offs fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-4 loss to Knightline on Friday. Knightline scored on a single by Lucas Commings, a single by Litner, and a stolen base by Commings in the first inning.

Knightline scored four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Knightline was led by Mason HopperLogan, and Commings, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Commings was on the pitcher’s mound for Knightline. He surrendered two runs on zero hits over one-third of an inning.

Dylan McElhinney started the game for Whiting. He surrendered seven runs on seven hits over two innings, walking zero. Andrew Henderson and Kyle Bourlier entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.

Brennen Porter went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Whiting in hits.

Knightline tallied 11 hits on the day. Commings and Jake Kling each had multiple hits for Knightline. Commings led Knightline with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
