KNIGHTS LOOKING STRONG EARLY

AKRON OH- Savannah Regan was locked in at the plate Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with a triple, double, and single to help Hoban cruise past Copley 10-1.

The Knights wasted no time getting on the board, stringing together three singles in the first—Elli Weigand knocked in the first run to set the tone.

In the second, Madison Shenigo punched a single to right to make it 5-0. Hoban added more in the third behind a sac fly from Kalie Watson and an RBI single from Kyia Rankin. The bats just kept producing.

Regan did her damage throughout—tripled in the second, doubled in the sixth, and singled in the first. Just a home run shy of the cycle.

Alivia Havanas went the distance in the circle for Hoban, giving up 10 hits but only one run. She fanned seven and walked two to notch the win. Copley’s Stella Kaplack took the loss, tagged for seven runs (five earned) on nine hits over five innings.

Hoban racked up 14 hits on the day. Havanas and Rankin each drove in a pair, while Watson and Shenigo had multi-hit games of their own.

Copley had 10 hits of their own but couldn’t cash in. Caroline Deagan led the way with a 3-for-4 line, Stella Backus added two knocks and an RBI, and Jayce Collins also had two hits.

Hoban’s back in action Thursday at home against Ellet.
