KNIGHTS SPEAR THE BLUE DEVILS

LOUISVILLE, OH-  The Lisbon Blue Devils had their sights set high entering the OHSAA Tournament this year.  Coach Doug Andric leaned heavily on a young roster full of talent, and Senior leadership that delivered time, and time again.  However, on Friday night, the St. Thomas Aquinas foe in the other dugout was just too much.  The Devils season ended abruptly to the Knights 4-1.  Nick Thomas was the winning pitcher for Aquinas. He went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Logan Bell took the hard-luck loss for Lisbon. He lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out ten.

The Blue Devils racked up six hits in the game. Tyler Welsh and Bell all collected multiple hits for LisbonWelsh led the Blue Devils with three hits in three at bats.

Aquinas scattered seven hits in the game. Max Kucyznski and Thomas each had multiple hits for Aquinas. Kucyznski went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Aquinas in hits.
