KOHLER BREAKS RBI RECORD AS RAIDERS ADVANCE

YOUNGSTOWN OH-

Bree Kohler threw a shutout and knocked in 2 RBI to lead South Range past Tuslaw 2-0 on Thursday. Kohler broke the South Range season RBI record now standing at 62 on the year.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Kohler struck out 13, while Tuslaw pitchers sat down six.

One bright spot for Tuslaw was a double by Meredith Rankl in the first inning.

Kohler was credited with the victory for South Range. The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and zero runs while striking out 13 and walking zero.

Rankl took the loss for Tuslaw. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four and walking one.

South Range socked one home run on the day. Kohler went yard in the third inning.

Madison Dado led the Raiders with two hits in three at bats.

Rankl went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Tuslaw in hits.

South Range advances to the regional final to square off with Ursuline. That game will be held at YSU Softball Complex. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00.
