KOHLER’S 16 K’S LEAD TO SOUTH RANGE VICTORY

Bree Kohler had all the right stuff on Monday for South Range, allowing zero runs and besting Struthers by a score of 7-0

The Raiders pulled off the big victory without ever scoring many runs in an inning. The most they scored was two in the fifth.

South Range got on the board in the second inning when Madison Dado singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

A single by Mary Bayus in the first inning was a positive for Struthers.

Kohler pitched the Raiders  to victory. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking zero.

Nic Pezzone took the loss for the Cats. The bulldog went six innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out seven.

South Range smacked one home run on the day. Kohler went yard in the third inning.

Kelly Szolek went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead South Range in hits.
