LABRAE DOESN’T WASTE ANY TIME WINNING AGAIN

MCDONALD OH-  Riley Rowe was a one-person wrecking crew on Wednesday, torching McDonald for four hits at the plate and mowing down 10 batters in the circle to lead LaBrae to a 13-3 win.

Rowe wasted no time, launching a solo shot to dead center in the first inning to spark a big opening frame. She followed that up with a single in the second, then ripped back-to-back doubles in the sixth and seventh to round out a 4-for-5 day at the dish.

And when she wasn’t swinging it, she was dealing. Rowe struck out 10, went the distance, and held McDonald to just three runs on six hits. She did walk five, but stranded traffic all afternoon to stay in control.

LaBrae’s offense showed up early and never let off the gas. They hung four on the board in the first, tacked on three more in the second, and racked up 16 hits overall. Shelby Bragg matched Rowe hit-for-hit with four of her own, while Morgan Thompson brought the thunder in the middle of the order with four RBIs on a 2-for-5 day.

Leah DeArmitt and Vada Allen also chipped in with multi-hit games, and Bragg kept the pressure on by swiping two bags.

McDonald had a few bright spots, with Addison Grewell and Violet Smith driving in runs and Gianna Mancini going 2-for-3, but they couldn’t slow down LaBrae’s red-hot lineup. LaBrae gets back at it Monday when they host Crestview.
