LABRAE PITCHING COMBINES FOR A NO HITTER

By Michael Wolfgang

LEAVITTSBURG, OHIO – One of the things that makes a baseball manager smile is having the offense and pitching click at the same time. LaBrae made sure to do so Monday night, handling Brookfield 14-0.

The pitching couldn’t have been any better for LaBrae as they used three pitchers to combine for a five inning no hitter. Landon Brunstetter started the no-hit charge, going three and two-thirds innings allowing zero hits and zero runs, striking out nine and walking zero.

LaBrae put seven runs on the board in the third inning, further extending their already sizable lead. The offensive onslaught by LaBrae was led by Brunstetter, Austin Rowe, Simpson, and Swaton, all driving in runs in the home team half of the inning. LaBrae also had the run game going, swiping six stolen bases as a team. The speedy Brogan Collins led with three stolen bags.

Next, LaBrae will look to take out Brookfield again on Tuesday and head their third victory in a row. First pitch from Brookfield is all squared away for 5:00 p.m.
