LABRAE RESPONDS TO TAKE GAME TWO FROM TIGERS

Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, LaBrae still held off Newton Falls for a 4-3 victory on Tuesday. Newton Falls scored three runs in the failed comeback on a error in the sixth and a double in the seventh.

In the second inning, The Vikings got their offense started when Stephen Boone singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Coby Airwyke led things off on the pitcher’s mound for LaBrae. Airwyke went six and a third innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out ten.

Connor Meyer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Vikings in hits.
