LADY BEAVERS STAY UNBEATEN, PADDLE PAST CREEK

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH- The Beaver Local girls soccer team remained undefeated with a 4-0 victory over Indian Creek on Tuesday. The Beavers took a 1-0 with 33:04 remaining in the first half on a goal by Chansyn Hoppel with an assist by Danica Taylor. Then Taylor later extended the lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal of her own with 14:55 left in the first half. Indian Creek’s Abby Copeland almost scored for the Redskins but Beavers goalkeeper Halley Russell made the save keeping the score 2-0 at halftime.

Russell only had to make 4 saves the entire game as the Beavers played great defense all game long. The Beavers extended its lead to 3-0 with 31:13 left in the second half on an unassisted goal by Riley Britt. Danica Taylor finished off the scoring with her second goal of the game with 14:44 left in the second half.

Indian Creek falls to 4-4 while Beaver Local improves to 5-0-1. The Beavers travel to Morgantown on Saturday before returning home next Tuesday to host Saint Clairsville on Senior Night.
