LADY BULLDOGS ARE ON A MISSION

COLUMBIANA, OH- East Palestine is on a roll right now in girls hoops.  Winners of seven of their last eight contests, and six in a row after beating Heartland Christian 49-33 on Wednesday night.

Mia Lee continued to set the tone with 22 points on the night, but Mara Zimmerman would earn the “Junkyard Dog” chain for her tireless efforts on the boards and eight points to help seal the win.  Leila Martin also chipped in a dozen, while Jasmine Ludt had four, and Gabby Andre had 3.

For Heartland Christian, Rylee Shadowens and Zoe Matthews led the way with eight points apiece.  Rachel Reynolds had seven tallies, and Sophia Stambaugh and Alaina Shaulis both contributed four points.

East Palestine (11-6,6-4) has a quick turnaround in the Dog Pound on Thursday against Southern, while Heartland Christian will host Leetonia this Saturday.
