LADY DOGS DEFENSE PREVAILS IN WIN OVER CAMPBELL

EAST PALESTINE, OH- The Lady Bulldog Basketball Team hasn’t started the way they would have liked, but you know what they say: “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.”  On Wednesday night, the Lady Dogs started and finished in convincing fashion defeating Campbell Memorial 58-19.

Junior sharpshooter Joclyn Fristik led the way with 20 points earning her the Gorby’s Player of the Game.  Sophomore Paige Snyder cashed in a dozen points and 8 rebounds, while Payton Sherry had 2 points and 6 helpers but set the tone defensively with 3 steals. Morgan Rutledge powered her way for 9 tallies and Patience Champney had an impressive debut with 10.

The Lady Red Devils were led by Leila Kannali who had 15.

East Palestine will have to rest quickly as they return to the hardwood on Thursday against Heartland Christian around 7pm.  That game can be seen on YSN for those who cannot attend in person.
