LADY EAGLES JUMP OUT EARLY VS. GIRARD

HUBBARD, OH- Girard watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-1 loss to Hubbard on Tuesday. Hubbard scored on a single by Grace Narkum and a single by Jackie Adler in the first inning, and never looked back.

The Lady Indians struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hubbard, giving up 11 runs.  Hubbard got things moving in the first inning, when Narkum singled on a 3-2 count, driving in a run.  Later on, Hubbard scored six runs in the sixth inning. Hubbard big bats were led by Sydney BowserHaley CroyleHannah KistKellsie Leshnak, and Alexis Najdusak, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Narkum toed the rubber for Hubbard. She allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out five and walking one.  Samantha Dohy was in the circle for Girard. She surrendered 11 runs on 12 hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.

Kaitlyn CulverHannah Jones, and Dohy each managed one hit to lead the Lady Indians.  Hubbard racked up 12 hits. NajdusakKist, and Adler all had multiple hits for Hubbard.
