LADY EAGLES SOAR PAST CHANEY
HUBBARD, OH- Emily Filicky didn’t allow a single run against Chaney, throwing a one-hit, complete game shutout and leading Hubbard to a 25-0 victory on Tuesday
The Lady Eagles secured the victory thanks to 14 runs in the first inning. Hubbard batters contributing to the big inning included Jackie Adler, Sydney Bowser, Hannah Kist, Haley Croyle, Kailah Gregory, and Filicky, who each had RBIs in the inning.
One bright spot for Chaney was a single by Naenal in the third inning.
Filicky was credited with the victory for Hubbard. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out 13 and walking zero.
Aniyah took the loss for Chaney. She surrendered 25 runs on 19 hits over four innings, striking out one.
Hubbard tallied 19 hits. Filicky, Gregory, Giavanna Hosack, Alexis Najdusak, Madi Barton, and Gillian Ryser each had multiple hits for the Lady Eagles. Hosack, Gregory, and Filicky each collected three hits to lead Hubbard. The Lady Eagles tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Najdusak led the way with two.
