LADY PIRATES NAB WIN FROM GIRARD

COLUMBIANA, OH- The Girard Lady Indians lost the lead late in a 6-4 defeat to Southeast on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Southeast batting in the bottom of the sixth when the Lady Pirates singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.  A frustrating loss for Girard as they out-hit Southeast ten to eight.

In the first inning, Girard got their offense started when Tori Owens singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Kaitlyn Culver started the game for Girard Indians Varsity. She allowed eight hits and six runs over six innings, striking out two.

Girard racked up ten hits on the day. Culver, Sahan Dede, and Owens each collected multiple hits for the Lady Tribe. Owens, Dede, and Culver each collected two hits to lead Girard .
