LADY RAIDERS OUTLAST INDIANS

The South Range Raiders claimed a 7-3 victory on Thursday, despite a big push by Girard in the third inning.  The big inning for Girard came thanks to a triple by Jones, a single by Dede, and a double by Dohy.

The Raiders got things started in the first inning when Bree Kohler grounded into a double play, scoring one run.

South Range tallied three runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught by the Raiders was led by Brooke Sauerwein and Izzy Sikora, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Bree Kohler was credited with the victory for the Raiders. She surrendered three runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Dohy took the loss for Girard. She went seven innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking one.

South Range racked up nine hits on the day.  Brooke Sauerwein and Julie Centofanti each collected multiple hits for South Range Raiders.  Julie Centofanti and Brooke Sauerwein each collected two hits to lead South Range Raiders.  The Raiders were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Jillian Strecansky had the most chances in the field with ten.

Girard racked up nine hits.  Jones, Dede, and Dohy each managed multiple hits for the Indians.
