LADY RAIDERS RACE PAST CHASE IN MYRTLE

MYRTLE BEACH, SC-  It was a nailbiter for a few innings for the South Range Lady Raiders.  Then the scoring dam came unglued.  South Range snatched the lead late in the game in a 10-1 victory over Chase on Monday. The game was tied at one with the Lady Raiders batting in the top of the sixth when Julie Centofanti singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

South Range secured the victory thanks to six runs in the seventh inning. Drew FerenHanna DennisonGianna CicchiIzzy Sikora, and Reagan Irons each had RBIs in the frame.

Bree Kohler got the win for South Range. She lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out ten and walking one.

Faith Harrell took the loss for Chase. She surrendered nine runs on 11 hits over six innings, striking out three.

The Raiders collected 11 hits. Maddie HelonHanna DennisonJillian Strecansky, and Kali Dudich each racked up multiple hits for the RaidersKali DudichJillian StrecanskyHanna Dennison, and Maddie Helon all had two hits to lead the team.

Chase totaled seven hits in the game.
