LADY REBELS BOUNCE BEAVERS

COLUMBIANA, OH- The Crestview Lady Rebel Basketball team got their season started with a win Wednesday night over Beaver Local 54-46.

In the first half, it seemed as though Beaver Local was going to control the pace of play. They used their speed in transition to take advantage of easy basket opportunities. While Crestview hung around by slowing the game down and being deliberate on offense. Beaver Local took a four-point lead into the break.

In the third quarter, the Beavers kept dominating with the transition. Live ball turnovers would turn into points. They built up a 38-30 lead. Then the Rebels finally started to find their stride. With a little help from the perimeter shooting the Rebels were able to jump out to an 11-0 run and take a 41-38 lead. After the teams traded a trio of threes back and forth, the game was tied at 44-44. The Rebels ended the game on a strong 10-2 run to bring home the opening night victory 54-46.
