East Ashtabula, OH – The Edgewood Lady Warriors extended their strong season with a commanding 59-42 victory over the Jefferson Lady Falcons in a Chagrin Valley Lake Division Conference matinee matchup on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Gymnasium. The win improved Edgewood’s record to 10-3 overall (7-1 in the conference), while Jefferson fell to 5-8 (4-3 in the conference).
Both teams started off the game with a few turnovers as they worked to shake off early rust, but the Warriors quickly took control. Annie Johnston set the tone by hitting a pair of three-pointers, helping Edgewood establish a 16-8 lead by the end of the first quarter.
The Warriors continued to dominate in the second quarter, doubling up the Falcons by outscoring them 20-10 to take a commanding 36-18 lead into halftime. The third quarter followed a similar script, with Edgewood maintaining their defensive intensity and outscoring Jefferson 18-11.

The Warriors showcased balanced scoring, with Annie Johnston leading the way with 14 points. Faith Vencill added 13 points, Avery Vencill contributed 12, and Carly Kray chipped in with 11. Jefferson’s Bella Boyd led all scorers for her team with 14 points.
