LAKEVIEW CONTINUES THEIR HISTORIC SEASON

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Lakeview Bulldogs cruised to a 11-3 victory over the Garfield G-men to claim a Division III District Championship. This marks Lakeview baseball’s first district championship as a program.

After trailing 2-0, the Bulldogs jumped into the lead for good when they scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning.

The Bulldogs were led by Tyler Capan, who went 3 for 4 at the plate. Andrew Brown was the winning pitcher of the day as he allowed 3 runs, 3 hits, and had 3 strikeouts through four innings of work.

Vinnie Grandizio and Leo Grandizio led things at the plate for the G-Men as they both had multiple hits in the losing effort.

Vinnie Grandizio was the losing pitcher of the day as he allowed 8 hits, 8 runs, and 1 strikeout.


Lakeview will now advance to the Regional Semifinal where they will take on South Range. That game is scheduled for June 1st at Massillon Washington High School. First pitch is set for 2:00.
