LAKEVIEW FINISHES OFF IMPORTANT SWEEP

CORTLAND, OHIO- The Poland Seminary Bulldogs fell 4-2 to Lakeview on Wednesday despite out-hitting them ten to five.

The Bulldogs got things moving in the second inning, when Dominic Elia drew a walk, scoring one run, but Lakeview pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. 

In the third Gino Lazzari singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Lakeview, and Matthew DeProfio singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Alex Stowe got the win for Lakeview as he went five innings, allowing two runs on nine hits and striking out two. Tyler  Capan threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  Capan recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Lakeview.

The Bulldogs racked up ten hits as Carmine Tukalo, Matt Boccieri, Jacob Hayes, and Teagan McCurdy each collected multiple hits. McCurdy, Hayes, Boccieri, and Tukalo all had two hits to lead the Bulldogs at the plate.

Elia took the loss on the mound as the pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out six.
