LAKEVIEW HAS EVERYTHING WORKING

CORTLAND OH- Nathan Paolucci was all over the place, snagging three hits in four at-bats as Lakeview steamrolled East Palestine 10-0 this Monday. The guy was a double machine, hammering one in the second and another in the fifth, not to mention kicking things off with a single right from the start.

The scoreboard lit up early for Lakeview, with Hayden Newton smashing a triple and Brandon Toot bringing him home with a sac fly. They kept the pedal down in the second, thanks to Paolucci’s double, a handy error, and Matt Seikel’s two-run single.

Jacob Shaker was a beast on the mound, tossing a one-hit shutout over five innings and striking out eight. On the flip side, East Palestine’s Cale Moraski had a rough day, giving up eight runs over four innings.

Lakeview’s defense was on point, not messing up a single play, with Paolucci right in the thick of it, handling eight plays. Phoenix Marvin snagged the lone hit for East Palestine.

With this victory, Lakeview’s setting sights on the sectional final against LaBrae this Wednesday, with the first pitch slated for 5 PM. But first, they’ve got a tune-up game against Ursuline at Cene Park, same time Tuesday.
