LAKEVIEW OWNS THE NIGHT; UPSETS IRISH

STRUTHERS OH- Lakeview sent a message across the baseball world as they upset Ursuline with a big 5-3 win on Monday night at Cene Park.

Tony Malone got the win for Lakeview. The pitcher went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking zero. Nolan Toth threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Toth recorded the last two outs to earn the save.

Tre Ciavarella took the loss for Ursuline. The righthander allowed four hits and four runs over four and a third innings, striking out six and walking one.

Blaine Barr started the game for the Bulldogs. The righty lasted one inning, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking one

Anthony Caruso went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lakeview in hits.

The Irish saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Luca Ricchiuti and Joe Carosella all had multiple hits.
