LAKEVIEW POWERS INTO NEXT ROUND

CORTLAND OH- Mack Stowe came the ballpark and meant business on Thursday, driving in five on three hits to lead Lakeview past Southeast 14-8 in the sectional finals. Stowe drove in runs on a home run in the second, a groundout in the third, and a home run in the fourth.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Lakeview collected 18 hits and Southeast had 12.

Lakeview got things started in the second inning. Stowe hit a solo homer.

The Bulldogs pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Stowe grounded out, scoring one run.

Lakeview tallied seven runs in the fourth inning. The Bulldogs offense in the inning was led by Kennedy Bartlett, Gianna Caruso, Maggie Pavlansky, and Stowe, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Isabella Isenberg led things off on the rubber for Lakeview. The righthander surrendered eight runs on 12 hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Lakeview smacked three home runs on the day. Isenberg went for the long ball in the second inning. Stowe went deep in the second and fourth innings.

Lakeview totaled 18 hits. Bartlett, Isenberg, Stowe, Caruso, and Pavlansky all managed multiple hits. Bartlett led with four hits in five at bats.
