LAKEVIEW TAKES TWIN BILL OVER WILDCATS

GAME 1

CORTLAND OH-

Raegan Schick did the opposing team no favors on Monday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading Lakeview to a 14-1 win over Struthers. Schick doubled in the second, singled in the third, homered in the fourth, and homered in the fifth.

Lakeview scored six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by the Bulldogs was led by Sammy Aey, Maggie Pavlansky, and Schick, all driving in runs in the inning.

Ella Chadwick led the Lakeview to victory in the circle. The ace allowed seven hits and one run over five innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Trista Horger took the loss for Struthers. Horger lasted four innings, allowing 20 hits and 14 runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Julia Szenborn started the game for Struthers. The hurler surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero

Lakeview launched three home runs on the day. Schick went for the long ball in the fourth and fifth innings. Pavlansky had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

The Bulldogs totaled 20 hits. Schick, Pavlansky, Gianna Caruso, Chadwick, Abbie Campana, Makenna Werner, Aey, and Olivia Kelm each had multiple hits. Schick went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

Struthers scattered seven hits in the game. Nicolina Pezzone, and Mary Bayus each managed multiple hits for Struthers.

GAME 2

The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Lakeview came out on top against Struthers, 11-10.

Lakeview captured the lead in the first inning when Sammy Aey drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Struthers scored two runs in the top of the fourth, the Bulldogs answered with two of their own. Struthers scored when Caly Lantz’s wild pitch allowed two runs to score for Struthers. Lakeview then answered when Aey homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Lakeview took the lead for good with one run in the second inning. In the second Olivia Kelm singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Olivia Easton took the win for the Bulldogs. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out three and walking one. Lantz, Kelm, and Ella Chadwick all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

The Bulldogs tallied two home runs on the day. Raegan Schick went yard in the first inning. Aey put one out in the fourth inning.

Gianna Caruso led Lakeview with two hits in three at bats.

The Wildcats tallied ten hits on the day. Nicolina Pezzone, Brooke Adams, and Emma Morris each had multiple hits. Pezzone went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits.
