LATE HEROICS HELP HUBBARD AGAIN

CORTLAND OH-  Lakeview stayed in it until the end, but Hubbard pulled away late in a 4-3 victory on Monday. The game was tied at three with Hubbard batting in the top of the seventh when Gillian Ryser singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Hubbard fired up the offense in the first inning.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Lakeview tied things up at three. Kylie Imes homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

The Bulldogs notched three runs in the sixth inning. Imes had an RBI home run in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Haley Croyle was the winning pitcher for Hubbard. The pitcher surrendered three runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking zero.

Ava Bacon took the loss for Lakeview. Bacon lasted four innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three.

Ella Chadwick started the game for the Bulldogs. The pitcher surrendered three runs on six hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one

Lakeview hit one home run on the day. Imes went for the long ball in the sixth inning.

Raegan Schick, Kennedy Bartlett, Makenna Werner, Imes, and Izzy Haines all had one hit to lead Lakeview.

The Bulldogs didn’t commit a single error in the field. Imes had the most chances in the field with four.

Croyle led Hubbard with three hits in three at bats. Hubbard was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Lexi Najdusak had the most chances in the field with 14.
