LATTANZIO HOMERS TWICE, POLAND BLASTS PAST HUBBARD

POLAND, OH- Poland’s Ashley Wire didn’t allow a single run against Hubbard, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Poland to a 17-0 victory on Monday

Cami Lattanzio led the Lady Bulldogs to victory by driving in six runs. She went 2-for-3 at the plate. Lattanzio drove in runs on a home run in the third and a home run in the fourth.

Poland got things started in the first inning when Ally Nittoli singled, scoring two runs.  Poland tallied six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by the Lady Dogs was led by Abby FarberEmily Denney, and Lattanzio, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

A double by Jackie Adler in the first inning was a highlight Hubbard.

Wire got the win for Poland. She allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out one.

Gillian Ryser took the loss for Hubbard. She surrendered eight runs on four hits over two innings, striking out one.

Poland tallied ten hits on the day. Farber and Lattanzio all collected multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Lattanzio and Farber each managed two hits to lead the team.
