LEOPARDS CANT CATCH RUNNING RAMS

LIBERTY OH- Mineral Ridge blew the doors off in the fifth inning and never looked back, cruising past Liberty 17-3 on Wednesday behind a 12-run outburst that turned a tight game into a runaway.

The Rams scratched across a run in the second and kept adding pressure in the third with another string of runs thanks to a mix of hits, errors, and smart baserunning. But the real fireworks came in the fifth. Ridge piled on 12 runs in one inning, fueled by walks, RBI singles, and a two-run double that broke Liberty’s back.

On the hill, Jimmy Nolder picked up the win after going 3.1 innings, giving up three hits and three runs—only two earned—while striking out four. Christian Dunlap came in and slammed the door, tossing 1.2 innings of shutout ball with three punchouts.

The offense was balanced and aggressive—Ridge racked up 11 stolen bases and seven walks, forcing Liberty to play catch-up all game. Multiple Rams had multi-hit games and drove in a pair of runs each, making it a full-squad effort.

Defensively, Ridge was sharp—no errors on the day and smooth in the field from start to finish. Next up, the Rams head to Jackson-Milton on Thursday looking to keep the momentum rolling.
