LEOPARDS POUNCE ON SALEM EARLY

LOUISVILLE, OH- They say it’s not how you start, but how you finish.  Monday proved otherwise as Louisville started out with a two out rally in the first inning, scored two, and that’s all they would need to defeat Salem 2-1 in the District Semifinals.

Louisville scored on a single by Cole Miller and a single by Caleb Miller in the first inning.

Anthony Warner was the winning pitcher for Louisville. The hurler went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Carson Rhodes took the tough luck loss for Salem. The pitcher surrendered two runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out eight.

Darius Beck led Salem with two hits in three at bats.

Louisville had seven hits in the game. Miller and Conner Adelman all had multiple hits for Louisville.

The Leopards will face Marlington on Wednesday at 5.  Salem’s season comes to a close at 18-8.
