LEOPARDS ROLL IN HOME OPENER

LOUISVILLE OH- In what was Louisville’s home opener for the season. The Lady Leopards hosted The Chardon Lady Hilltoppers Saturday afternoon. 

The first quarter saw The Hilltoppers grab an early advantage. Some back and forth scoring led to various lead changes in the first quarter of play.

The highlight of the first 8 minutes? Kelsey Adelman put up 11 points for her team, leading them to a 22-16 lead going into the second quarter. 

Emily Noerr had a response early for The Lady Leopards, scoring through the defense, a part of an 18 point performance for Noerr. 

Quarter number two belonged to Louisville, as three of Taryn Miglitch’s four 3-point shots on the day helped The Leopards outscore Chardon in the second 27-12. 

Going into halftime leading 49-29, Louisville, and Coach Couto, had yet another trick up their sleeve. As Brooke Haren scored most of her 20 points in the second half.

On the day, Louisville had three players with 20 or more points, as Taryn Mglitch had 24, Kelsey Adelman 21, and Brooke Haren 20. Totaling 65 of their teams 77 points on Saturday afternoon. A first in Louisville history. 

Louisville goes to 2-1 on the season with the 77-52 victory over Chardon. The Leopards will hit the road again, with a matchup scheduled with The Boardman Lady Spartans on Wednesday, December 1st.
