LESS EQUALS MORE IN NO-HITTER OVER LISBON

COLUMBIANA, OH- Ian Less was brilliant on the mound on Wednesday, as Less threw a no-hitter to lead Columbiana past Lisbon 17-0.

The Clippers got things started in the first inning when Less singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Columbian put up six runs in the fourth inning. The Clippers’ offense in the inning came from fielder’s choices by Bayden Pipoly and Devin Daugherty, a triple by Less, a single by Maxx Grommes, and an error on a ball put in play by Reese Roush.

Less took the win for Columbiana with the no-no. The righty surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out five.

Gage Owens took the loss for the Blue Devils. The pitcher went four innings, allowing 17 runs on 16 hits, striking out two, and walking zero.

Columbiana collected 16 hits on the day. Colin Keleman, Daugherty, Less, Max Conway, and Alex Eusebio each collected multiple hits for the team. Conway, Less, Daugherty, and Keleman all had three hits to lead the Clippers.
