LIONS ROAR PAST SOUTHERN TO GET TO DISTRICT TITLE GAME

STRUTHERS, OH- Aaron Gault wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, driving in four on two hits to lead Heartland Christian past Southern 17-3 on Tuesday. Gault drove in runs on a double in the second.

Southern scored three runs in the second inning, but Heartland still managed to pull out the victory. Cooper Edmiston and Aiden Spahlinger each drove in runs during the inning.

Hayden Stewart took the win for Heartland. Stewart went five innings, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out seven and walking zero.

Brock Smalley took the loss for Southern. The bulldog allowed eight hits and 11 runs over two innings, striking out three.

Heartland Christian racked up 17 hits on the day. Devin SirotaNate GarzanichTom KlingDrew WalkerSteven BakerJoel Morgan, and Gault all managed multiple hits for the LionsSirota went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Heartland in hits.
